I collaborated closely with surf and nature photographer Jack McCaul to bring his work into a tangible, collectible format through a series of thoughtfully designed zines. Rooted in a shared appreciation for craft, community, and storytelling, the project translated his lived experience in the water into printed pieces that people could hold, live with, and connect to. From concept through production, the work supported a broader mission of giving back, with proceeds benefiting Help Maui Rise and extending the impact beyond the page.

Alongside the zines, I helped shape a cohesive brand identity that feels at home within the surf world, playful, recognizable, and grounded in nature. Color palettes were drawn from the landscapes and tones present in Jack’s photography, while typography and layout choices balanced energy with restraint to let the imagery lead. By maintaining a consistent visual language across each release, the brand remains flexible yet unified, reinforcing Jack’s voice and creating a foundation that can grow with his work.
